The Computer
Science/Business Program (Associate of Applied Science)
is designed for students with an interest in
computer science and its application in business. With the
current trends to outsourcing and contracting for the
provision of computing resources in business, it is
imperative that computing practitioners have a strong
grounding in business and business practices. These
practitioners need entrepreneurial skills as they will often
have to establish themselves as independent consultants and
compete for contracts. This degree is intended to prepare
students to compete in this market. Co-op
is required of each student in the degree program. Co-op
contributes to the overall skill development which builds
self-confidence, maturity, and the ability to work
independently. |
|
The Computer
Science/Math Program (Associate of Applied Science)
provides each student with a background in
the principles of computing and their applications in
software
and systems. Students are provided real-life experience
together with the development of a sound basis in theory.
Students work individually and cooperatively, on projects
designed to foster an understanding of basic theoretical
principles. Whether you plan to enter the computing industry
per se or only to use computing as a tool for other
purposes, the
program prepares each student for great preparation for the
future. Co-op is required of each student in the degree
program. Co-op contributes to the overall skill development
which builds self-confidence, maturity, and the ability to
work
independently. |
